Featured, Latest News, Stormwater

The LA Regional Water Quality Control Board has adopted the new Commercial, Industrial and
Institutional (CII) Permit. The permit would cover certain commercial, industrial, and institutional (CII)
facilities in the Dominguez Channel/Greater Los Angeles Watershed and the Los Cerritos
Channel/Alamitos Bay Watershed to reduce pollutant levels in stormwater runoff that flows from these
facilities. Any qualifying facility with 5 acres or more of impervious surfaces would be required to comply
with the new permit. Facilities will have one year from the October 2026 adoption date to submit their
Notice of Intent and upload a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to SMARTS.
