Owner’s Representative for Industrial Development

Owner’s Representative for Industrial Development

EEC was retained by UniFirst Corporation to provide Owner’s Representative services spanning the entire life of the project.  EEC’s involvement began during project feasibility and conceptual stages providing comprehensive real estate due diligence research to advise in property acquisition.  This institutional knowledge proved invaluable as EEC provided peer review of the civil engineering plans; EEC identified a number of value engineering opportunities, permitting hurdles, and constructability concerns that ensured a that all components of the project were properly permitted and could be constructed as cost-effectively as possible.

EEC provided hydrologic and hydraulic calculation support for:

  • The underground stormwater detention system
  • Site storm drain collection system.

EEC provided construction administration services including:

  • Contractor RFI response
  • Traffic control design for redesigned elements
  • Expedited permitting services for permit revisions.

Given the nature of construction in a cold midwestern environment, many project timelines were constrained to ensure that the construction schedule was maintained and site development work was substantially completed before winter.  EEC continually delivered on these impacted timelines and remained nimble to keep critical path activities on schedule.
