EEC Environmental Project Regulatory Specialist, Joseph Jenkins, spoke at the 45th Annual P3S Conference, presented by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA), in Riverside, CA at the Riverside Convention Center February 12th through the 14th.
Jenkins spoke in two sessions during the FOG Workshop on February 14th at the annual training and networking event for California’s Pretreatment, Pollution Prevention, and Stormwater Professionals.
The conference themed, “Building a Bridge to Clean Water,” also included soft skills training sessions, two facility tours, conducting criminal investigations, and a permit writing workshop. Attendees had the opportunity to hear from Associate Vice Chancellor of UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, Mark Gold, General Manager of Orange County Sanitation District, Jim Herberg, Director, Water Division of U.S. EPA Region 9, Tomás Torres, Chief Executive Officer of Surfrider Foundation, Dr. Chad Nelsen, and James Perry, City of Riverside City Council, Ward 6, during the Opening General Sessions.
The conference alignes with CWEA members’ responsibility for overseeing effective implementation of national water laws and for oversight and funding of state and tribal water protection programs in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and the outer Pacific Islands.
